Based on the original Fort Wright bandstand, the Museum's new Gazebo extends out into the H.Lee Ferguson, Jr. Sanctuary. A generous donation by the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation enabled its construction.

The original Fort H.G. Wright bandstand was located on the Parade Grounds across from Officers Row. It was completed on January 20, 1911, destroyed by a storm in 1913, and rebuilt that same year. It was later moved to Mystic Seaport a few years after the sale of Fort properties in the late 1950s. It stands there to this day.
