New Race Rock Lighthouse Model on Display
The model pictured here was recently purchased on Ebay for permanent display in the Museum. It was shipped from Wisconsin and arrived safe and sound in mid-October. Created by marine artist William Trotter in the early 1990s, the model will be featured at the entrance of the main gallery in the "weather" section. It is constructed of wood, modeling clay and copper. The tower will light up when the installation is completed over the winter. The next Museum newsletter will feature a profile of Mr. Trotter, who is known for his art works that feature light houses. Photos: Tim Patterson and John Wilton
